The role of Distribution & Strategic Accounts Manager is highly varied and requires skills in several core functions including general management tasks, business to business account management, inventory management, demand planning, marketing and sales activities.

Responsibilities include:

Sales functions include forecasting, project registration, pipeline management through CRM, demonstration, and market positioning presentations.  Business development of distribution spending accounts, identifying new opportunities, and increasing spend though existing partners as well as identifying new partners. Quarterly and Annual review meetings with distribution partners management teams. Attendance at trade events as required and working with the distributors at their customer events.

Business to Business functions including sales training for the partner’s internal sales staff, external sales staff, product management, to best position IDIS Americas’ products, enabling them to confidently sell the portfolio of products. Quarterly marketing action plans and implementation, website audits, running incentive schemes and partner program delivery though distribution. Taking ownership of partners' issues to help resolve them quickly allowing us to ensure best of class service.

Distribution specific tasks: General management including stock and inventory management, support financial management of credit facilities, new part management and end of life, setting annual targets and expectations with IDIS Americas management, contract management for new & existing distribution partners as required. Additionally, manage point of sale submissions and timely receipt for the sales operations team. Lastly advising on regional requirements ensuring we are working with the appropriate distribution channel partners, based upon the maturity of our brand and the distributor’s customer base.

Experience and Attributes:
 
  • Strong understanding of the video surveillance market with an aptitude for selling solutions with a minimum of five years’ experience in this sector
  • Self-otivated and focused individual with a passion for technology and an aptitude for customer satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong negotiation skills being comfortable with negotiation at all levels of the business up to and including senior management
  • Excellent presentation skills verbal and written, able to communicate complex solutions in an informative way, and adapt to a varied audience
  • A deep understanding of the security distribution landscape, including the organizations, leadership, structure and take to market strategies
  • A deep understanding of the larger national & international security integrators such as Everon, Securitas, Johnson Controls, Convergint and others. This would include understanding their take to market strategy, market positioning, organizational structure and more.
  • Prior distribution experience is essential for the role, with an understanding of IT and Security distribution, either working in distribution or selling solutions to and through distribution
  • Excellent IT skills, in office and other essential platforms
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Fluency in Microsoft applications such as MS Office
Location:  

This is a remote position open to candidates in the continental United States.  Candidate should live near a major airport.

Notes:

Frequent travel is required for the execution of the duties of the position, potentially including international travel. The individual must have their home base in a location that is cost-efficient for frequent travel and logistically practical to support the territory. The successful candidate must have and maintain a valid passport and meet all requirements for travel both domestically and internationally.  Must be comfortable with regular air travel as part of their role.
